HME retains heat & moisture from the patient’s exhaled gas via hygroscopic filter.
Bacterial-Viral Filter prevents entry of bacteria, viruses, and moisture droplets.
BVF efficiency is 99.99% for particle > 0.3µ M
BVF is made up of permanently charged hydrophobic fibres to enhance microbes capture efficiency with low breathing resistance.

Used in Human Ventilation Machine to protect the patients from inhaling harmful particulate matter, fumes, vapours or gases.
